Thank you for your support
in what we do!
Four years ago Esther woke up one morning in pain. The front of her lower jaw was troubling her and she didn't know why? It wasn't until a few weeks later that she was diagnosed with cystic ameloblastoma. It is a tumor caused by abnormal cell growth which easily infiltrates and destroys surrounding bony tissues. Her lower teeth and front jaw are infected with lesions and swelling causing facial deformity. Wide surgical excision is required to treat this disorder by removing half of her lower jaw.
There is a great hospital called CORSU (Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services Uganda) in Entebbe that can perform the surgery. They bring in international specialist to work on difficult cases such as this. An American doctor is scheduled to arrive in October 1st for Esther's surgery. We need to raise $2, 000 to cover surgery and aftercare costs.
Esther is married with a two year old son. Her husband went to work in Abu Dhabi to raise the money for the surgery because he couldn't find employment in Kampala . Unfortunately, he is abused, like most African immigrants, by his employer who pays little and overworks him. For the past 4 years the family has saved $800. For someone living in poverty is a great feat, not easily done. This will go to the total cost of $2,800. All that remains is $2,000.
Your prayers and support would be a miracle for this family. You can make a difference. Contribute today!

Update on Esther
It's been about a month since Esther had her surgery and she is recovery well. It was difficult, as one could only imagine surviving a 15 hour surgery, but in the end she is happy and relieved that it's over. She wants to thank all who helped make this possible. Her husband and family can't say enough how much this meant to them and the joy it has brought. From N4H to all who donated thank you for caring. You made a difference that will last a life time.😊
